BES RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
In alignment with the University’s top priority of maintaining a healthy environment for our campus community -- the BES team is following preventive practices for the cold and flu season by washing hands frequently and staying home from work when sick. These actions help protect you and others from exposure to germs, viruses and other illnesses.
Out of an abundance of caution we are enhancing our already comprehensive processes. This includes increasing the frequency in which we clean and sanitize common areas and using highly-effective, EPA-registered products that combat a multitude of infectious diseases.
The best defense to prevent the spread of germs is to practice good hygiene. Remember to wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, and avoid sharing food, cups or utensils. For added protection, you are also encouraged to clean your own areas such as countertops, doorknobs, electronics, etc.
If you would like the BES team to provide additional cleaning to your work area, please submit a work request or call 704-687-1311.
More information about university-wide actions for COVID-19 preparedness are available on the Office of Emergency Management website.
