Comprehensive Classroom Study

Project
UNC Charlotte has engaged the SmithGroup, a national consulting firm, to undertake a comprehensive study of the University's classrooms and class labs. The project will include input from a wide array of stakeholders to understand the programmatic, technological, and pedagogical needs.

Goals
• Understand the current inventory of classrooms and labs, including quantity, location, type and condition
• Identify classroom and lab needs for the future
• Develop a plan that can be implemented over the next 5-10 years
• Ensure quality academic experience for students and faculty

Stakeholder Engagement
UNC Charlotte students are invited to drop by the Prospector Food Court on Tuesday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide input on their experiences in classrooms and study spaces at Charlotte. This pop-up event will allow students to share their experiences in formal learning spaces through a few quick activities. What do you like about existing spaces? How and where do you best study?
