The Planning, Design and Construction unit within Facilities Management is responsible for the initial planning, managing the design processes, and overseeing new construction and renovations of existing space and infrastructure at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Kathryn L. Horne, Director of Planning & Space Managment, leads this team of professional staff with backgrounds that range from project management, architecture, real estate, construction, engineering, interior design and landscape architecture. Through collaboration and expertise in their fields, the Planning, Design and Construction unit is able to implement sound architectural and engineering design while committing to sustainability practices.
