Electrical Grid Automation Phase I

An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on April 21, 2026, at 1pm in Room 119, 9151 Cameron Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28223

Project Description:
Work includes new medium voltage switchgear and replacement padmount switchgear for SUB
SW-1 within the existing main substation yard providing power to most of campus. The scope
shall include phased installation of the new switchgear to be fed from the existing Duke Energy
transformer secondary and serve the replacement padmount switchgear and existing to remain
padmount switchgear.
