Project Description:
The University of North Carolina Charlotte is undertaking a partial renovation of Hawthorn Residence Hall, focusing mainly on
replacing the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems that date back to the original construction in 1981. Additionally, the
project will reconfigure the staff apartment and enlarge the bathrooms in the student suites. Most of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are nearing the end of their service life, except for the upgraded components during the 2016 renovation of the Commons space.
