What’s Going On:
The speed table will be reinstalled to address the section that has come loose.
When:

What to Expect:
A section of the downhill lane will be temporarily closed during the work. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic and help ensure the safety of motorists and workers.

Why:
A section of the speed table has come loose and needs to be reinstalled to restore it to proper condition and ensure safe passage for motorists.

TEMPORARY RESTROOM CLOSURE – Smith
What’s Going On:
Maintenance crews will perform essential repairs to the building’s main sanitary sewer line and manhole.
When:
Wednesday, October 21, 2026 7:30 AM to Wednesday, October 21, 2026 9:30 AM
What to Expect:
All restrooms will be out of service during the repair period because the building’s sanitary sewer drainage system will be completely shut off. Please use the restroom facilities in the nearby buildings, Cameron Hall and Prospector, while repairs are underway.
Why:
Emergency repairs are necessary to restore the building’s main sanitary sewer line and manhole to proper working condition and ensure their structural integrity.

PARKING AND SIDEWALK CLOSURE BEHIND ATKINS
What’s Going On:
A broken sewer line has been identified north of Atkins library.
When:
Monday, October 19, 2026 8:00 AM to Friday, October 23, 2026 5:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Cones and caution tape blocking off affected pathways.
– Utility repair vehicles and operations in the vicinity.
Affected Buildings:
* Atkins
* Smith
* Honeywell Innovation Hub
* South Library Lane
Why:
The repairs are necessary to restore the sewer line to proper working condition and address the damage.

LOT 25 PARTIAL PARKING CLOSURE – Lot 25
What’s Going On:
Four parking spaces at the northwest corner of Lot 25 will be temporarily closed.
When:
Friday, October 23, 2026 6:30 AM to Friday, October 23, 2026 12:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Cones and caution tape will be used to block off the affected parking spaces.
– Trucks and equipment will be present in the area during the work.
Why:
The parking spaces will be used to provide access to the stormwater retention structure along the western edge of Lot 25.

MCENIRY, SMITH, PROSPECTOR AND FRIDAY REDUCED COOLING
What’s Going On:
McEniry, Smith, Prospector, and Friday will experience reduced cooling.
When:

What to Expect:
During the notification period, occupants should expect warmer-than-normal temperatures in the buildings.

Why:
A temporary chiller is in use while the permanent chiller is being repaired.

SIDEWALK AND STAIR CLOSURE AT KENNEDY SOUTH – Kennedy
What’s Going On:
The sidewalk and stair at the south side of Kennedy will be closed off via fencing and construction barricading.
When:
Tuesday, October 13, 2026 8:00 AM to Friday, January 29, 2027 5:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Heavy construction equipment including a crane, concrete trucks, dumpsters, etc.
– Temporary emergency egress routes WILL be provided and indicated via signage – the emergency egress route will vary depending on the phase of construction between usage of portions of the stairs, and usage of a temporary emergency exit ramp that will circumvent the stairs entirely.
Why:
This work is part of the ongoing project to replace the stairs, which have reached the end of their useful service life.

What’s Going On:
The east sidewalk on Cameron Blvd, near the intersection of Cameron Blvd and Johnson Alumni Way, will be closed for construction.

What to Expect:
– Barricades and signage in place.

To create an access into the woods behind Laurel Hall for the Sanitary Sewer project.

FRIDAY BUILDING CONSTRUCTION FENCING – Friday
What’s Going On:
Construction fencing will be in place between Friday and Fretwell.
When:

What to Expect:
Walkway between Friday and Fretwell will be narrowed to allow for construction fencing, but will still allow pedestrian flow through the area.
Why:
Construction fencing enclosure for dumpster and lay-down area for the Friday Classrooms Renovation project.

What’s Going On:
Parking spaces will be blocked off during construction of the Loy Witherspoon Center for Meditation and Reflection.
When:

What to Expect:
6 parking spaces will be permanently closed and captured for the construction of the new Loy Witherspoon Center, and section of spaces adjacent to the construction site entrance will be temporarily closed for a portion of the construction project.
