Lot 5A will be closed temporarily for maintenance.

What to Expect:

PARKING LOT 21 CLOSURE – Lot 21
What’s Going On:
Parking Lot 21, located on Poplar Terrace Dr. near Witherspoon Hall, will be closed for maintenance.
When:
Wednesday, May 14, 2025 to Saturday, May 24, 2025
What to Expect:
– Work has been postponed due to the weather and the lot will remain closed for completion of work.
– No access to Lot 21 from May 14th to May 24th, weather permitting.
Why:
Lot 21 will be seal coated and painted.

MARTIN VILLAGE RD ACCESS TO EAST DECK 3, LOT 4, LOT 4A BLOCKED
What’s Going On:
Martin Village Road access to East Deck 3, Lot 4, & Lot 4A will be closed while asphalt is repaired.
When:
Wednesday, May 21, 2025 1:00 AM to Friday, May 23, 2025 11:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Dates have changed due to the weather.
– Construction equipment and barricades in place.
– No access to East Deck 3 from Martin Village Rd; all East Deck 3 traffic routed through East Deck 2.
– No access to Lot 4; alternate paid parking available in East Deck 1.
– No access to Lot 4A; alternate permit parking available in Lot 6.

Why:
To repair damaged asphalt in access lane.

What’s Going On:
Closure of select spaces on level 1 of Cone Decks.
When:
Tuesday, May 20, 2025 7:00 PM to Friday, May 23, 2025 11:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Dates have changed due to the weather.
– Construction equipment and barricades.
– Parking spaces blocked off around repair areas.
– Redirection of traffic around closed areas.
Affected Buildings:
* Cone Deck 1
* Cone Deck 2
Why:
To repair areas of damaged asphalt.

WEST DECK ROTATING CLOSURES – West Deck
What’s Going On:
Alternating entrances and levels of West Deck will be closed for pressure washing and painting.
When:
Monday, May 19, 2025 5:00 AM to Sunday, May 25, 2025 11:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Use of alternate parking in Lot 7 is recommended.
– Pressure washing equipment in operation with some over spray.
– One entrance (via University Rd. or Cameron Blvd.) closed at a time; watch for signage to indicate which entrance to use.
– Levels blocked off inside the deck indicating temporary closures.
Why:
Periodic cleaning & painting to maintain appearance and condition of parking facility.

DUKE LOADING DOCK CLOSURE
What’s Going On:
The loading dock for Duke, along with the access drive for BATT CAVE, will be closed.
When:
Monday, May 19, 2025 7:00 AM to Monday, May 19, 2025 5:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Tractor trailers will be parked in the loading dock of Duke as well as along side BATT CAVE.
– The Duke loading dock will be inaccessible to vehicles.
– Access to the rear of BATT CAVE by vehicles will be restricted.
Affected Buildings:
* Duke Centennial Hall
* Kulwicki Motorsports Laboratory
* BATT CAVE Research Center
Why:
To unload a large piece of research equipment and rigging materials.

FIRE PUMP ANNUAL TESTING – Campus
What’s Going On:
The Fire Systems Group will be conducting full flow fire pump annual testing in various buildings between Monday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 21st.
When:
Monday, May 12, 2025 6:00 AM to Wednesday, May 21, 2025 2:30 PM
What to Expect:
– Large volumes of water will be flowing outside of all campus buildings that are serviced by fire pumps and water-based fire suppression systems.
– These water flows will be brief in nature and should have a minimal effect on daily business activities.
– Contact Number has been updated.
Why:
These annual tests are required of all campus fire pumps and the fire sprinkler and standpipe systems they service.

WALLIS HALL COURTYARD AND BREEZEWAY CLOSURE – Wallis Hall
What’s Going On:
The courtyard and breezeway at Wallis Hall will be closed for the summer. No pedestrian traffic.
When:
Monday, May 12, 2025 to Friday, August 1, 2025
What to Expect:
– Construction fencing will be installed on the light rail side of the building and the Lynch Hall side of the building.
– No access through the breezeway will be allowed.
– All pedestrian traffic will need to go around the building.
Why:
To install a new roof on Wallis hall.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CRI-3 PARKING LOT – 49th Acre
What’s Going On:
Parking Lot CRI-3 will be temporarily closed.
When:
Monday, May 12, 2025 7:00 AM to Saturday, May 31, 2025 7:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Contractor equipment and personnel on site.
Why:
Renewal of the parking lot pavement and restriping of the parking spaces.

DEMOLITION OF SANFORD HALL
What’s Going On:
Commencement of the contract to demolish Sanford Hall.
When:
Tuesday, January 28, 2025 8:00 AM to Monday, November 3, 2025 5:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Construction vehicles and personnel in the area of Sanford Hall.
– The demolition of the structure will begin after commencement in May.
– Work beginning now is removal of debris within the building and installing scaffolding and encapsulating the build.

* South Village Crossing
* Sanford Hall
* Levine Hall
* Wilson Hall
* Sanford Hall Lane
Why:
Building has reached the end of it’s life cycle.
