UNIVERSITY POND DAM – CORE TESTING – Regional Utility Plant 2

What’s Going On:
On Friday, November 6th, a contractor working for the City of Charlotte’s Storm Water Services is scheduled to test the University Pond Dam.

When:
Friday, November 6, 2026 7:30 AM to Friday, November 6, 2026 3:30 PM

What to Expect:
– There will be a heavy-duty rollback truck parked in the area behind RUP 2.
– The drilling equipment will be unloaded from there and proceed to the University Pond dam.
– The route taken will go from the rear of RUP 2, behind the Snyder Parking Deck (formerly CRI Deck), to the dam.

Why:
To install and maintain stormwater control measures to reduce pollution and control the volume and velocity of stormwater at the University Pond.
