Repairs to Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC – McEniry

The bid opening will take place on July 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. in Room 206 of the Campus Police/Facilities
Management building, located at 9151 Cameron Blvd on UNC Charlotte’s campus.

Pre-bid meeting to address questions will be held at 3:00pm on June 12, 2025. Attendance at this
meeting is not mandatory.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The scope of the project is to replace an existing generator that feeds the McEniry building and McMillian
Greenhouse. To limit downtime, the new equipment will be set and made operational, the loads will be
moved over one by one, and then the existing equipment will be demolished. The project is divided into
multiple phases and all outages will be closely coordinated with the University. The scope of the project is
primarily exterior work. The equipment to be demolished includes a boiler and associated building, a
generator and associated building, a standalone generator, panelboards, and various feeders, boxes, and
circuitry. The new equipment includes a generator, a generator docking station, automatic transfer
switches, panelboards, concrete-encased duct banks, hand-holes, and various feeders, boxes and
circuitry. The generator will be monitored by tying into the existing building automation system.
