CAMERON BUILDING WATER SHUTDOWN – Cameron Hall
What’s Going On:
Water will be shutdown to Cameron Hall.
When:
Saturday, September 28, 2024 6:30 AM to Saturday, September 28, 2024 12:00 PM
What to Expect:
– No water to sinks or toilets during this time.
– Contractor will provide fire watch personnel.
– Contractor will be assisted by UNC Charlotte plumbing dept. during this shut down.
Why:
To replace a faulty water valve serving the 2nd floor.

REESE BUILDING DISRUPTIONS FOR REPAIR WORK
What’s Going On:
Disruptions to various offices and conference rooms on all levels of the west side of the building (facing Cone), as well as areas of the adjacent surface lot and exterior stairs at the southwest corner of the building.
When:
Tuesday, October 1, 2024 8:00 AM to Friday, February 28, 2025 5:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Construction noise from power tools, lifts, etc.
– Fencing and signage under work areas and around staging areas.
– Scaffolding set up at the west side of the building, including overhead protection at the entrances to the basement and 1st floors.
– Facade repair work will also occur above the exterior stairs at the southwest corner of the building.

* Lot 30
Why:
To facilitate replacement of the ribbon windows, precast elements, and curtain wall systems on the west elevation of the building.

ROWE BUILDING DISRUPTIONS FOR REPAIR WORK – Rowe
What’s Going On:
Disruptions to various offices, labs, and classrooms during the Summer semester especially. Fall semester work will be coordinated individually and in advance.
When:
Monday, July 1, 2024 6:00 AM to Friday, November 1, 2024 5:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Construction noise, fencing, and signage around work areas inside and outside the building.
– Scaffolding set up around the perimeter of the building.
Why:
To facilitate removal and restoration of the 2nd floor windows, with additional work at the building facade, roof, and kiln house.

SIDEWALK CLOSURE AT CRAVER RD – Craver Road
What’s Going On:
The sidewalk on the north side of Craver Rd across from Cameron Hall will be temporarily closed.
When:
Wednesday, September 11, 2024 7:00 AM to Wednesday, September 25, 2024 5:00 PM
What to Expect:
– Barricades will be in place to block off the sidewalk.
– Construction personnel and equipment in the area.
Why:
To install an electrical duct bank beneath the sidewalk as part of the Cameron 2nd Fl Renovation Project.
