Categories: General News

Over the summer, the University will make improvements to Craver Road to enhance the safety of the campus community. To date, yield to pedestrian sticks have been placed at all of the crosswalks on the road.

Additional safety improvements to Craver Road

The following safety improvements are expected to be in place before the start of the fall semester:

  • Speed bumps will be placed throughout the road.
  • New 15 MPH speed limit signs will be installed.
  • The intersection of Mary Alexander Road and Craver Road may become a three-way stop. Warning signs would be placed along Mary Alexander Road ahead of each new stop sign, into the fall semester, to allow cars, bikes and other road mobility devices to assimilate to the new three-way stop.
  • The permissive loading signs in front of Popp Martin Student Union will be changed to “no loading, parking, stopping or standing” signs ans enforced as such.

Questions or concerns about these new safety improvements can be submitted through the facilities management campus feedback form.
